Particle filtration of oils

In the electroplating and metalworking industry, oils are frequently used as immersion baths or coolants during milling or turning operations. The longer the process runs, the more these oils are contaminated by small metal particles or chips. Regular filtration enables cooling oils to remain longer within the process without having to be replaced – on the bottom line this is both an economic and ecological advantage. It is then only necessary to dispose of the solid, namely the spent diatomaceous earth with the metal particles.
